Vehicle Description GT40P2257 is a GT40 MKI Continuation built by Superformance LLC.
A quality re-creation of the original Ford GT40 that beat Ferrari and finished in the top three positions in the grueling Le Mans 24 Hours in 1966, and continued to win for 4 consecutive years.
In developing the exhilarating GT40 continuation, Superformance engineers went to great lengths to ensure authenticity.
So authentic, the GT40 also carries the GT40/P chassis number and is eligible for the official GT40 registry and Shelby Registry.
The GT40 continuation is built to exact standards, in fact over two thirds of the rolling chassis parts are interchangeable with that of an original car.
This GT40 is painted in the famous Gulf Livery and is built as a right hand drive, right hand shift car with period correct BRM pin drive wheels with orange centers.
Some great features include AC, an Alcantara interior, AVON CR6ZZ Tires, and GT40 sill and floor mats.
Heat shielding Lizard Skin sprayed in wheel wells and rear clam shell, Olthoff Racing Lexan Rear Window upgrade, Olthoff Racing Rear Bonnet Lift Kit, heat shielding in the doors and in the body.
Power comes from a Keith Craft 347cui fuel injected engine with 515HP and is going in a ZF-RBT 5 Speed Transaxle transmission.
GT40 P2257 was serviced and upgraded with new wheel bearings, ball joints and other parts.
